Tens of thousands of visitors braved the relentless rain but still enjoyed the return of the Nantwich Show.
The Dorfold Park showground had enjoyed blistering conditions in the run-up to Wednesday’s event, but was beset by heavy downpours on the day itself. It didn’t dampen spirits though as thousands poured through the gates, buoyed by the show’s return following last year’s cancellation.
All sections of the show reported a successful day, with record numbers of exhibits entered in the horticulture and home crafts, and for the International Cheese Awards too, which also boasted the world’s largest cheesecake on-site.
